As the title suggests, the work refers to Faust. He is a carachter highly successful yet dissatisfied with his life, which leads him to make a pact with the Devil, exchanging his soul for unlimited knowledge and worldly pleasures. In this interpretation, the absence of a body is marked by a pair of shoes that is absorbed by a huge amount of low-value euro coins that symbolize his soul, far from wealth, power and glory.
