The word “hell” illuminated in the form of a neon reproduced an anonymous graffiti found in the street, looking like a sign that point the public to somewhere. Unlike the ephemeral messages that are written on the walls of public spaces, whose exposure time is largely limited, as they are erased, crossed out or simply disappear, this work permanently reproduces an ironic and subversive protest slogan. It is a gesture of resistance that keeps alive the message of this and other messages that have been transcribed to light by the artist in the same way.
